Films: The Horror at Party Beach (1964)
Alias: None
Type: Mutant
Location: Ocean/Civilized Area
Height/Weight: That of an average human.
Affiliation: Neutral
Summary: Zombies can be boring. So when you want to resurrect the undead, get a bit creative. Hell, if you say they grow fish features and develop a hatred of sodium, we won't mind. It'll be stupid, but it'll be novel enough.
History: After some careless dumping of toxic waste in the oceans of the east coast, it manages to seep into a sunken ship probably centuries old. Slowly but surely, the skeletons of its occupants begin to develop flesh and blood. But somehow, they also begin to resemble grotesque fish-men as well. Soon, these aquatic mutants are on the warpath, crawling out of the depths to snack on the residents of a beach community.
Notable Kills: Ever wonder why no one invites fish-zombies to a party? Because they'll break in, trash the place, and kill everyone in the room. None of those teens stood a chance.
Final Fate: Turns out the beasts cannot stand sodium. Pretty soon, the monsters are pelted with it, and explode into dust.
Powers/Abilities: None.
Weakness: Sodium causes them to explode. It's not as exciting as it sounds.
Scariness Factor: 2-Despite interesting designs, they have googly-eyes and inexplicable hot-dog things sticking out of their mouths. Also, sodium is just a bad weakness to have.
Trivia: -There is about 120 million tons of salt dissolved in seawater. Those mutants should have been dead within seconds of rising.
-The working title for this film was "Invasion of the Zombies".
